We really need your help. Last year, the Calais warehouse received nearly 2,000 tents that were left behind at music festivals across the UK. This year, due to COVID-19, those events have been cancelled.
Our partner Collective Aid in northern France relies on tents and sleeping bags that we salvage from UK festivals to get them through the winter each year. But with no festivals running, their stocks are very low.
Glastonbury Festival would have been on the 27th and 28th June. Instead of dancing in the fields, we’re asking you to donate any unwanted tents or sleeping bags in support of refugees and displaced people in northern France.
We have agreed to be a collection point for the weekend of the 27th and 28th June to help us do this. Please get family and friends on board and help us gather as many tents as possible.
If you are going to get involved, please always adhere to Government guidance.
And if you can’t travel or don’t have tents to donate, you can still buy tents and sleeping bags by giving money.
